Your KFS FAQ – Everything You Need to Know

Hey, Reader,

This is the last multi-week email from me for a little while! Next Tuesday, I’ll be back to my regular once-a-week newsletter with tips, stories, and insights to help you move, train, and feel your best.

Before we shift back, I wanted to answer some of the most common questions about KatFit Strength so you have everything you need to decide if now is the right time to start.

What is the KatFit Strength (KFS) Community?
KFS is a strength training program that fits into your real life. Even with a packed calendar and endless to-dos, you’ll get structure, flexibility, and support so you can build strength without guilt or stress about “falling behind.”

Who is KFS for?
Women ages 35–45+ who want to get stronger and fitter while balancing work, family, and life. You don’t need to be a runner or athlete—though many of my clients are.

Do I need to be a runner or an athlete?
Not at all. Life is athletic. Carrying groceries in one trip, moving furniture, chasing kids, hiking, or adventurous travel all count. KFS prepares you for it all.

What does a workout week look like?

  • 2–3 strength sessions per week (10–40 minutes each, depending on your day)
  • Mobility sessions for recovery and joint health
  • Movement practice guidelines so you can pair running, spinning, biking, or walking with strength training without burning out

What equipment do I need?

  • Minimum: 2 sets of dumbbells (one light, one heavy), mini bands, and long loop bands
  • Gym access? Great, but not required

How does the coaching work?
I coach from a place of enoughness and compassion. You already handle a lot. I’m here to guide you, adjust your plan when life throws curveballs, and help you reach your goals without overwhelm.

BOOK A CALL COACHING INSTGRAM YOUTUBE PODCAST Hey, Reader, A few weeks ago, I got a message that stopped me in my tracks: "I’ve been following you for years. I finally joined KatFit three months ago and… I’m mad at myself. I wasted so much time being 'almost ready' when I could have been getting stronger this whole time." I notice this pattern frequently. Women who love my emails, Instagram tips, or past programs wait sometimes years before committing to a plan, then kick themselves once they...

BOOK A CALL COACHING INSTGRAM YOUTUBE PODCAST Hey, Reader, My eldest just turned 14 and started high school. Watching him step into this new season of life prompted me to reflect on my parenting journey, on myself, and on the seasons we all navigate as women. Motherhood is… complicated. And so is life. And so is strength. Some days I feel like I’m nailing it. I see my kids laughing, I crush a workout, I check things off my to-do list, and I think, “Yes. This is exactly what I want.” Other...

BOOK A CALL COACHING INSTGRAM YOUTUBE PODCAST Hey, Reader, Three years ago, she wasn’t sure she’d stick with it. Life was chaos: kids, work deadlines, holidays, travel. She thought strength training would be another “stop-start” phase. But something clicked. She learned the skills, built the habits, and now she moves with confidence. She is doing this without one-on-one sessions every week, without an all-or-nothing mindset. I did a happy dance at my desk when I read her email. Confidence...
